Spring is coming!!!!

We've had such a mild winter this year that we've been out working much more than normal. Here are a few projects that have been started:

Planting clover in the garden in the bottom land. This will be a cover crop. We will plant corn, squash, and beans among the clover later this Spring. Clover adds nitrogen to the soil and acts as a mulch.

These are baby meat chicks. We will raise these for 8 weeks and butcher them in May. They are cute right now but they get pretty ugly as they grow!

A new tire swing for the campground

We also planted 300 strawberry plants last week and are awaiting new layer chicks and ducklings.
